If you've got a rod, you'll have a real good time. Find Georgia State Parks that offer fishing here.
Fishing at Georgia State Parks
If you can cast it you can catch it. With bass waters worthy of the pro tour and several trout streams listed in Trout Unlimited's top 100, Georgia is truly an angler's paradise. Fishing in park lakes, rivers and streams is free, but a valid Georgia resident/non-resident fishing license is required for guests 16 and older. Don't have a pole but want to test your luck? No problem. A number of state parks can loan you a rod and reel for no charge. All you need is the bait or tackle.
